Terms and Conditions of Use

When making a purchase or online reservation, you consent to the use of your personal information for the requested service or product. The law allows you to withdraw your consent and request the subsequent removal of your information. See below on this page our policy Privacy and Personal Information Protection Policy (PCPIP).

BOOKING POLICY ( LODGINGS AND CAMPING)

The reservation policy is described and accepted via a checkbox during online booking. If it differs from the description below, the policy displayed and accepted at the time of booking takes precedence (this policy appears at the bottom of the booking invoice).

Reservations are payable by credit card. Payment terms differ as follows depending on the date the reservation is made:

➤ Reservations made 35 days or more before the arrival date: Half (50%) of the total amount including taxes is required at the time of booking. The balance is automatically paid between 28 and 21 days before the arrival date using the same payment method.
➤ Reservations made less than 35 days before the arrival date: The total amount including taxes is required in a single payment at the time of booking.

For reservations made on an external platform (Airbnb®, WeChalet®, etc.), the payment terms and cancellation policy indicated on that platform apply.

Cancellations and Changes

➤ From 0 to 10 days before the start date of the reservation. No refund upon cancellation. No change of stay date is possible.
➤ From 11 to 20 days before the start date of the reservation. 50% refund upon cancellation or possibility to transfer the reservation to a later date at no charge (maximum 3 months after the initial reservation date).
➤ 21 days or more before the start date of the reservation. 95% refund upon cancellation (5% fee). Possibility to transfer the reservation to a later date at no charge (maximum 3 months after the initial reservation date).

Site regulations

➤ Children: Minimum age 16 years. A place of rejuvenation for parents, couples, friends, and individuals.
➤ Environment and lodging: Respect the eco-responsible charter and the guidelines in the lodgings.
➤ Pets: Not allowed on the site or in the lodgings to maintain the tranquility of the area and minimize impact on the flora and fauna.
➤ Smoke-free site: Smoke is prohibited everywhere, including in the lodgings. If a cigarette, cigar, or cannabis odor is present in thelodging, a $150 fee will be automatically charged. Smoking is permitted only in the parking areas at the reception and the stream area, provided that cigarettes are thoroughly extinguished and butts are removed.
➤ No outside guests: Only the occupants listed on the reservation are allowed on the site and in thelodging.
➤ Number of occupants: If the number of occupants upon arrival exceeds the number indicated on the reservation, the additional charges will be immediately payable. If the number of occupants exceeds the maximum number allowed in thelodging, the excess occupants will need to book another lodging on the site or elsewhere.
➤ Breakage, damage, cleanliness, and respect: An additional cleaning fee may be charged if thelodging is left in poor condition. Fees may also be charged for breakage to the lodgings, service buildings, and equipment, as well as for damage to trees or nature, or for failure to comply with the eco-friendly charter and the lodgings. These fees will be charged within a maximum of 5 business days after the guest's departure.
➤ Composting toilet: This type of toilet, found in the tiny houseand the mini-chalet, is clearly marked "for urination only." It is the client's responsibility to ensure that the toilets do not overflow, by not exceeding the indicated "max" line. If our housekeeping team observes an overflow or the presence of feces, a $100 fee will be automatically charged.

Security Deposit

If a security deposit was paid upon arrival, a full refund will be issued within 36 hours of the guest's departure, provided the premises, facilities, lodging , or campsite is in good condition upon inspection. This security deposit also applies to the above-mentioned rules regarding smoking, composting toilets, and "Breaks, Damages, Cleanliness, and Respect." In the event of a breach, the deposit will be retained in part or in full, depending on the circumstances. A partial refund will be issued within a maximum of 5 business days after the guest's departure. The deposit amount does not limit the guest's liability to that amount. The deposit is payable via Interac® or credit card.

Liability and force majeure

Lodging aux Cinq Sens is not responsible for events beyond its control (force majeure), including natural disasters, forest fires, major public utility outages, government decisions, or any other unforeseen situation preventing the normal course of the stay. In the event of force majeure, the performance of obligations is suspended, and any resulting costs remain the responsibility of the client.

Special public health conditions

We apply the measures required by Public Health for the tourism industry for ready-to-camp accommodations of 4 people or fewer, as well as for the site as a whole. It is the client’s responsibility to comply with the current public health measures in effect. Please also note that our activities may be adapted if measures targeting them are required.​

Reading Emails and Information

​Once the purchase or reservation is made, you agree to read the emails, including the content of the links provided therein. The first email is sent within minutes of the reservation. Check your spam folder if you receive nothing. Our sending address is "[email protected]".

OTHER TERMS AND PCPRP POLICY

Lodging aux Cinq Sens may temporarily or permanently interrupt the operation of all or part of its website www.auxcinqsens.ca. Lodging aux Cinq Sens and its service providers shall not be liable in any way for any loss or damage that may be directly or indirectly related to delays or interruptions in the use of this website, the inability to use the website, or the unintentional transmission of a virus to the user's system. The privacy and personal information protection policy is also part of the terms of use and is described in the following section of this page.

Lodging aux Cinq Sens may modify these terms of use at any time. Users are responsible for reviewing any changes, without prior notice from Lodging aux Cinq Sens or its service providers. The site and its use are governed by the laws of Quebec. Any related dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Quebec.
