General terms of use

When you make an online purchase or reservation, you consent to the use of your personal information for the requested service or product. The law allows you to withdraw your consent and request the subsequent removal of your information. See our Privacy and Personal Information Protection Policy (PPIPP).

BOOKING POLICY (LODGING AND CAMPING)

The booking policy is described and accepted via a checkbox during the online booking process. If it differs from the description below, the policy displayed and accepted at the time of booking prevails (this is shown at the bottom of the booking invoice).

Reservations are payable by credit card. Payment methods vary depending on the date the reservation is made:

➤ For bookings made 35 days or more before arrival: Half (50%) of the total amount including taxes is required at the time of booking. The balance is automatically paid between 28 and 21 days before arrival via the same payment method.
➤ For bookings made less than 35 days before arrival: The total amount including taxes is required in a single payment at the time of booking.

For bookings on an external platform (Airbnb®, WeChalet®, etc.), the payment terms and cancellation policy indicated on the platform apply.

Cancellations and changes

➤ 0 to 10 days before the start date of the reservation: No refunds. No changes to the stay dates are possible.
➤ 11 to 20 days before the start date of the reservation: 50% refund upon cancellation or the option to transfer the reservation to a later date free of charge (maximum 3 months after the initial booking date).
➤ 21 days or more before the start date of the reservation: 95% refund upon cancellation (5% fee). The option to transfer the reservation to a later date free of charge (maximum 3 months after the initial booking date).

Site rules

➤ Children: Minimum age 16 years. A place of rejuvenation for parents, couples, friends, and individuals.
➤ Environment and lodgings: Please respect the eco-responsible charter and the rules in the lodgings.
➤ Pets: Not allowed on the site or in the lodgings to maintain the tranquility of the area and minimize impact on the local flora and fauna.
➤ Smoke-free site: Smoke is prohibited everywhere, including in the lodgings. If a cigarette, cigar, or cannabis odor is present in the lodging, a $150 fee will be automatically charged. Smoking is permitted only in the parking areas at the reception and the stream zone. Please ensure that your cigarette is properly extinguished and that you dispose of your butts properly.
➤ No outside guests: Only the occupants listed on the reservation are allowed on the site and in the lodging.
➤ Number of occupants: If the number of occupants upon arrival exceeds the number indicated on the reservation, the additional fees will be charged immediately. If the number of occupants exceeds the maximum allowed in the lodging, the excess occupants will need to book alternative lodging on the site or elsewhere.
➤ Breakage, damage, cleanliness, and respect: An additional cleaning fee may be charged if the lodging is left in a poor condition. Fees may also be charged for breakage to the lodging, service buildings, and equipment, as well as for damage to trees or nature, or for failure to comply with the eco-responsible charter and lodging rules. These fees are charged within a maximum of 5 business days after the guest's departure.
➤ Composting toilet: This type of toilet in the tiny houses and the mini-chalet is clearly marked "for urine only." It is the guest's responsibility to ensure that it does not overflow, by not exceeding the indicated "max" line. If our cleaning team observes an overflow or the presence of feces, a $100 fee will be automatically charged.

Security deposit

If a security deposit was paid upon arrival, a full refund will be issued within 36 hours of the guest's departure, provided the premises, facilities, lodging, or campsite is found to be in good condition upon inspection. This security deposit also applies to the above-mentioned rules regarding smoking, composting toilets, and "Breaks, Damages, Cleanliness, and Respect." In the event of a breach of these rules, the deposit will be retained in part or in full, depending on the circumstances. A partial refund will be issued within a maximum of 5 business days after the guest's departure. The deposit amount does not limit the guest's liability to that amount. The deposit is payable via Interac® or credit card.

Liability and force majeure

Hébergement aux Cinq Sens is not responsible for events beyond its control (force majeure), including natural disasters, forest fires, major public service outages, decisions by authorities, or any other unforeseen situation preventing the normal course of the stay. In the event of force majeure, the performance of obligations is suspended, and any resulting costs remain the responsibility of the client.

Special public health conditions

We are implementing the measures required by Public Health for the tourism industry for ready-to-camp sites of 4 people or less, as well as for the site as a whole. It is the client's responsibility to comply with the current Public Health guidelines. Please also note that our activities may be adapted if specific measures are required

Reading emails and information

Once you have made a purchase or reservation, you agree to read the emails containing the links provided. The first email is sent within minutes of your reservation. Please check your spam/junk folder if you do not receive anything. Our email address is "[email protected]".

OTHER TERMS AND PCPRP POLICY

Hébergement aux Cinq Sens may temporarily or permanently interrupt the operation of all or part of its website www.auxcinqsens.ca. Hébergement aux Cinq Sens and its service providers shall not be held liable in any way for any loss or damage that may be directly or indirectly related to delays or interruptions inherent in the use of this website, the inability to use the website, or the unintentional transmission of a virus to the user's system. The privacy and personal information protection policy is also part of the terms of use and is described in the following section of this page.

Hébergement aux Cinq Sens may modify these terms of use at any time. Users are responsible for reviewing any changes, without prior notice from Hébergement aux Cinq Sens or its service providers. The site and its use are governed by the laws of Quebec. Any related dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Quebec.
