A starry sky preservation designation

We are delighted to have received the "Friend of the Dark Sky" designation from the Mont-Mégantic International Dark Sky Reserve. This unique recognition in Quebec confirms our site's efforts in following recognized best practices for eco-lighting, which helps preserve the quality of the night sky. We have implemented the following four recommendations:

Orientation : Our lights are directed towards the ground to eliminate light sent towards the sky and the horizon.

Colour : We use light sources with an amber colour and warm tones.

Intensity : We use minimal power (watts) for a modest lighting that meets the need.

Schedule : We manage the period and duration of use of outdoor lighting to illuminate only at the appropriate time.
